Our intergalactic space mission begins here at La Salle College High School this summer!

La Salle College High School is excited to offer its S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) Camp to students entering grades 5, 6, 7 and 8. This weeklong science camp is an experiential learning opportunity unlike any other.

Each of the 5 full days of camp exposes participants to an academically enriched interconnection between the S.T.E.A.M. disciplines. An exciting team challenge theme makes learning stimulating, engaging, and fun. This year’s team challenge titled “Perseverance & Ingenuity; A Model for Success” uses practical science to understand and apply the engineering challenges associated with an intergalactic space travel operation that begins right here on the Belcroft Campus.

Daily activities include successfully completing an assortment of hands-on tasks associated with the culminating end-of-week mission. Based heavily on the engineering design process, the experience will incorporate various facets of advanced rocketry, robotics, and coding. Experimentation via the iterative design process will occur daily. A team approach to problem-solving will be emphasized. Indoor and outdoor activities are being planned.

No prior robotics/coding experience is necessary.
